Rams Hand Witches First Loss

Bangor's Noah Missbrenner got the win on the hill, knocked in two runs at the plate and finished the game with a defensive doubleplay at first base as the Rams beat the Brewer Witches 4-1 Monday afternoon.

The game was played at Mahaney Diamond at UMaine. The victory puts Bangor at 3-0. Brewer is now 2-1.

Missbrenner pitched the first five innings, giving up one run and scattering seven hits.

At the plate, he had two singles and two RBI.

Zach Murray and James Neel had the other Bangor RBI.

Levi Williamson knocked in the lone Brewer run with a double in the third inning.

NOTE: Both the Rams and Witches will play games today, moving up games scheduled for Wednesday because the rainy forecast for tomorrow. Bangor will host Skowhegan today and Brewer will be on the road at Oceanside....Brewer softball defeated Bangor 6-0.
