Bangor Rams Score Quarterfinal Over Lewiston

The Bangor Rams are headed to the Class AA North semi-final round after rolling Lewiston 68-36 at Red Barry Gym Tuesday night.

The top seeded Rams struggled with a lack of energy and too many turnovers early in the game. But, the Blue Devils turned it over more than Bangor.

The Rams led by 11 at the half.

In the third quarter, Bangor's top scorer Matt Fleming picked up a fourth foul and left the game. Henry Westrich and Noah Missbrenner picked up the slack and went on a 15-2 run in the final three minutes of the quarter. The Rams led 50-25 after three and the game was over.

Westrich finished with 21 points, Fleming had 19 and Missbrenner added 15 as the Rams improve to 17-2.

Lewiston finishes the season at 3-16.

Bangor meets either Portland or Deering next Tuesday afternoon at the Cross Arena in Portland.
