Sox Seething Over Machado Slide [VIDEO]

The Red Sox lost to the Baltimore Orioles 2-0 Friday night but all anyone is talking about is Manny Machado's slide into second base and the injury to Dustin Pedroia.

Video (above) shows Machado slid late into the second base bag on a force play and then spiked Pedroia. Pedroia left the game.

As for the game, Sox hitters could do nothing with O's starter Dylan Bundy. He pitched seven innings and gave up just six hits.

Drew Pomeranz pitched 5.1 innings for the Sox, giving up both runs. One was a home run by Machado.

Game two of the series in tonight. The Sox are 17-7 while the Birds are 11-4.
