
St. George Race Starts The Paddle Season
For the 40th year, Saturday's St. George River Race will kick off Maine's whitewater river racing season. The Waldo County YMCA hosts both the St. George and next week's Passagassawakeag River Race next Saturday.
The St. George Race starts Saturday at 11am in the village of Searsmont. It's a six mile course featuring dead water and some Class II and III rapids.
