Tourney Time For Legion Baseball

The Bangor Coffee News Comrade will be the #1 seed in the North Division when the Maine State American Legion Tournament begins on Saturday. Bessey Motors/Oxford Hills is #1 seed in the South.

The top four teams in the North and the top four teams in the South make up the eight-team, double elimination tourney to be played at the Winkin Complex at Husson University in Bangor.

While (14-4) Bangor is top seed, (13-5) Acadians (Trenton) will be #2 and (13-5) RH Foster Riverdogs (Hampden) will be #3, the fourth seed will come down to either Quirk Motor City (OT/Orono) or Skowhegan. They meet in a tiebreaker one game playoff Tuesday night.

The South Division is set with Bessey Motors, Windham, Lewiston Pastime and Charles J Loring (Cheverus) as the top four teams.
