Tough day for Black Bears baseball and softball teams. While, baseball was getting swept at UMBC, softball lost in extras on senior day.

At Kessock Field in Orono, UMaine lost in 8 innings to Binghamton 3-1 on a day the Black Bears honored their eight senior players. Rozlyn Price drove in the two runs in the top of the 8th to win it. The Black Bears have won played in seven extra innings games this spring, going 4-3.

Maine is now 8-3 in America East Conference games (19-21 overall) with one three game series at Stony Brook left on the regular season schedule next weekend.

In Baltimore, the Black Bear baseball came up short again vs UMaryland Baltimore County, 5-2. That's a three game sweep by the Retrievers.

The Bears got outhit 14-5.

UMBC scored four times in the 6th inning to put this one away.

Maine drops to 6-9 AE and 11-28 overall.

The Bears have three more three-game series in AE play. Two of them are at home.
