Nine former Black Bears participated at UMaine Football's Pro Day in Orono on Thursday morning in front of two NFL scouts and one from the CFL.

Among the players showcased were Pat Ricard, Christophe Mulumba Tshimanga, Jordan Dunn, Max Andrews, Dan Collins, Jeremy Salmon, and James Demartini, while Damarr Altman and Sherrod Baltimore who were on the 2014 and 2015 roster respectively were also in attendance.

The scouts were Cameren Williams (New England Patriots) and Mike Derice (Indianapolis Colts), while Rich McKenna (Saskatchewan Roughriders) of the Canadian Football League were on hand.  UMaine films the event and numbers taken by the scouts are shared across the league.

Players participated in the bench press of 225 pounds, a vertical jump, a broad jump, a 40-yard dash, the L-drill, and a 5-10-5 lateral drill.  Some players were also run throw individual workouts including Ricard, Mulumba Tshimanga, Collins, and Salmon.

Among the impressive performances included Ricard who had 33 reps on the bench press and a 33.5 inch vertical leap.  He also gained 15 pounds since the end of the season and weighed in at 300 pounds.

Altman and Baltimore at set to participate in the Veterans Combine to be held later this month.

The NFL draft will run from April 27-29 and those players not selected will become free agents.  Trevor Bates was drafted last season by the Indianapolis Colts.
