The UMaine hockey score two goals in every period Saturday evening and beat the Vermont Catamounts 6-2. The Black Bears take three out of a possible four points from the weekend series.

Everyone chipped in to get the win. Goalie Jeremy Swayman stopped 39 UVM shots. Five different players scored a goal, Nolan Vesey scored two.Patrick Holway had a goal and two assists. Mitch Fossier had three assists. The Bears scored three powerplay goals and a shorthanded goal.

Maine gets back to .500 in Hockey East at 4-4-1 (6-7-1 overall).

Vermont falls to 1-6-2 and 4-10-2.

Next for the Black Bears, the final two games before the holidays, at Quinnipiac on Friday and Saturday.
