UMaine Ready For Gulf Coast Showcase

The UMaine women's basketball team spent Thanksgiving day in Florida preparing to play in the Gulf Coast Showcase that begins today with a game against Dayton.This will be the first ever meeting between the two schools in women's basketball and the Flyers come in with a 3-0 record and average 83 points per game while the Bears defense has only allowed and average of 58 through their first 5 games.

The Bears will play three games in the tournament being held in Estero Florida. The field of teams is a pretty impressive one and includes 13th ranked Stanford, LSU, Purdue, Louisville, Marist and Missouri State.
