UMaine Women Hoops Picked AE #1
America East Conference women's basketball coaches left little doubt about who's the team to beat. It's the UMaine Black Bears - by a unanimous vote.
Head coaches vote in this poll but cannot vote for their own team.
Coach Amy Vachon led the Bears to a 13-3 AE record (23-10) and the league title a year ago.
Four of the five starters return, including Blanca Millan and Tanesha Sutton. Both were selected the preseason AE All-Conference Team.
The Black Bears open their regular season on November 10th vs Toledo.
