The UMaine women's basketball team moved into sole possession of first place in the America East standings after a 77-46 win over New Hampshire Thursday, their 8th consecutive win.

The Black Bears are now 10-2 in league play and 17-8 overall.

Tanesha Sutton chipped in 12 points, 11 boards and four assists, her fourth double-double of the season.

Julie Brosseau connected on 5-of-9 three-point attempts and scored a game-high 19 points.

Blanca Millan scored 16 points, reaching double digits in scoring for the 24th consecutive game.

The Black Bears will travel to Stony Brook Sunday to take on the Seawolves.
