UMaine’s Pena In Houston To Sign Pro Contract [VIDEO]

UMaine junior shortstop Jeremy Pena is in Houston and will sign his pro contract, giving up his senior year to join the Astros organization after being drafted in the third round of the MLB Draft.

Pena was the 102nd overall pick in last week's draft.

Black Bear catcher Chris Bec, who completed his senior year at UMaine, was drafted in the 5th round by the Toronto Blue Jays.
