The battle for the top spot in men's basketball in the North Atlantic Conference goes to the UMaine Farmington Beavers thanks to a 92-82 road win at Newman Gymnasium in Bangor Saturday afternoon.

UMF Men 92  Husson 82:  The victory for the Beavers put them at 8-1 in NAC play (12-6 overall) while the Eagles drop to 7-2 (11-8 overall). Riley Robinson pumped in 27 points as UMaine Farmington shot 59% from the field.

The Eagles were led by another double-double from Justin Martin, 22 points and 10 rebounds. But Husson shot just 41% from the floor.

The team meet in Farmington February 9th.

Husson Women 52  UMF 47:  Coach Kissy Walker and her Eagles women's stays unbeaten in NAC with a win over the Beavers. Husson's leading scorer, Kenzie Worcester was held to just four points. Other players stepped up including Emma Alley with 15 points, Megan Peach had eight points and 10 rebounds and Joan Overman added eight points and nine rebounds.

McKenna Brodeur had 14 to lead UMF.

Husson improves to 9-0 in the NAC (13-6 overall).

UMaine Farmington is 5-4 and 5-14.
