The University of Southern Maine baseball team got knocked out of the Little East Conference Tournament, losing to UMass Dartmouth 6-3 on Saturday. Now the Huskies will have to wait and see if they get an at-large bid to a NCAA III regional.

The Huskies outhit its opposition 13-6 with Andrew Hillier leading the charge with three hits. But, USM also left 13 runners on base.

The Huskies are 30-11 and the question is will it be good enough to get an at-large bid? The answer comes early Monday morning.

USM                            0  0  0  1  0  0  0  2  0       3   13   1

UMass Dartmouth     0  1  0  0  0  1  2  2  x       6    6    0

NOTE:  UMass Boston ended up winning the LEC tourney championship. That is likely good news for USM and hopes for an at-large bid to the NCAAs. While UMass Boston gets the automatic bid, USM has been ranked ahead of that team in the regional and national rankings.
