Hermon senior Isaac Varney scored 10 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter as the Hawks beat Old Town 56-45 Wednesday night in Big East Conference Class B North action.

The Coyotes jumped out to a 18-10 lead after one quarter, forcing some early turnovers and Varney committed two early fouls.

The second and third quarters were relatively even.

The Hawks finished the deal in the fourth with Varney's points, plus the Hawks went 8-for-10 from the foul line down the stretch.

Along with the 20 points from Varney, the Hawks got 14 from Wyatt Gogan and 11 from Eli Reed.

The Coyotes were led by Bryce Richards with 11. Shawn Hoogterp and Matt Seymour each added 8 points.

Hermon improves to 4-0. Old Town drops to 2-2.
