Week four of the high school sports fall season and four great nominations for Athlete of the Week. You may cast your vote below.
Ellsworth QB/RB Connor Crawford: He helped lead his Eagles to their first win in 8-man football, a 42-0 win over Sacopee Valley. Crawford ran 18 times for 122 yards. He scored on TD runs of 30, 2 and 16 yards. Crawford also threw a TD pass.
MDI soccer senior Daisy Granholm: The Trojans score wins over Caribou and George Stevens Academy last week to help MDI improve to 7-1. Granholm scored three goals vs the Vikings and six vs the Eagles. She now has 32 goals on the season.
Winslow junior Rob Clark: The Black Raiders racked up another 62 points in a win over Foxcroft Academy Saturday afternoon. Clark got everything started with an 85 yard kickoff return for a touchdown. He rushed 14 times for 149 yards and another TD to help Winslow improve to 3-1.
Bangor XC runner Daniel McCarthy: Another week and another win for the Rams sophomore runner. At Cony High School he finished with a time of 17:10.82 in a 10 school KVAC meet. McCarthy has now won all four conference events Bangor has raced in this fall.
