One of Bangor's most prolific mixed martial arts gyms is gearing up for a busy weekend of fights on the latest installment of New England Fights in Bangor on Saturday night.

Six fighters in all will be competing from the Young's MMA team, including three professional fights, and two titles bouts.  It will be a busy night again for owner and head coach Chris Young, who will corner for his team in each of the fights.

Wednesday morning a few of the members were training, including amateur bantamweight Fred Lear, who will competing for the 135-pound championship versus Walt Shea of First Class MMA.

In addition to Lear on the card, top New England lightweight Ryan Sanders will be competing to try to extend his win streak to five, and possibly a call from either UFC or Bellator to compete at the highest levels of the sport.  Other pro fighters include undefeated featherweight Aaron Lacey, and CJ Ewer's title fight versus Mike Hansen from Berserkers MMA in the main event.

CJ's brother Roger will be on the under-card in a heavyweight amateur match-up versus Dustin Freeman, while Angela Young will face Florida fighter Jessica Borga in the lone women's match-up on the card.

This will be the the first MMA event in Bangor since Dana White filmed his web-series "Looking For A Fight" at a special card at the Cross Insurance Center for the NEF.  All fighters will participate in a weigh-in at the Sea Dog restaurant in Bangor on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m., with the event taking place on Saturday night at 7 p.m. at the Cross Insurance Center.
