The 1993 national champion UMaine hockey team is now two wins away from winning another one...the fans vote for "Frozen Four Finest Team".

The Black Bears beat out Herb Brooks' 1979 Minnesota Golden Gophers team by a 3-1 voting margin during voting on Tuesday.

Now the '93 Maine team will have a vote-off tomorrow against the 1987 North Dakota team that was known for the "Hrkac Circus". Tony Hrkac(pronounced Her-kiss), set an NCAA record 116 points that year (46 goals, 70 assists) and the Fighting Sioux won 40 games.

Maine, of course, went 42-1-2. Paul Kariya had 100 points in the 1993 year.

The semi-final vote today is between the 2009 BU team and the 1970 Cornell team.

Then tomorrow, the Maine vs ND vote.

The championship is Friday.
