The UMaine women's basketball win streak stops at eight. The UMaine men's team loses for the 21st time. It was a Sunday Stony Brook sweep of the Black Bears.

Stony Brook Women 78  UMaine 68: Too many turnovers for the Black Bears (17) and too many points in the paint for the Seawolves (37) did in Maine.

Shania Johnson had 23 and Cheyenne Clark with 22 to lead Stony Brook.

Blanca Millan led the Bears with 21. Dor Saar had 14.

UMaine falls to 10-4 in America East (17-9 overall). With three games to go, the Bears and UAlbany are tied for the top spot. They meet in the season finale.

Stony Brook is 7-6 and 15-11.

Stony Brook Men 64  UMaine 61: Another late run by the opposing team did in the Black Bears. The Seawolves had a 9-2 run at the end and an Andrew Fleming three-pointer to tie would not fall and the Bears lost a tight one at the Cross Insurance Center.

The Seawolves had four players in double-digit scoring.

Aaron Calixte had 19 to lead Maine.

The Bears fall to 3-9 in AE and 6-21 overall. Stony Brook is 5-7 and 10-16.
