Mattanawcook Academy's Cayden Spencer-Thompson finished his brilliant track and field career for the Lynx with three state titles and setting three state records in the process.

At the Class C state championship meet in Farmington, Spencer-Thompson won the Long Jump, High Jump and Triple Jump events. In all three events he set new records for distance jumped.

Old Town's Olivia Albert finished her regular season with a key win over Hermon that gave the Coyotes one of the two byes in Class B North.

Albert pitched six innings vs the Hawks, striking out 11 and giving up no earned runs.

For the regular season, Albert was 11-3 with 141 strikeouts and just 16 walks in 82 innings in the circle. She also batted .644 with 32 RBI.

Hermon's Zach Beaton won three events and finished fourth in another at the Class B state championship meet in Brewer on Saturday.

Beaton won the 110m Hurdles, the 300m Hurdles and the Long Jump. He was seeded fourth and finished fourth in the Triple Jump.

Beaton finishes his high school career with nine state championship titles.
