The Bangor High School baseball team claimed its 10th state championship with an 8-0 win over the Windham Eagles Saturday afternoon.Senior righty Justin Courtney got the start on three days rest after pitching in the Eastern Maine championship and fired a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts for the win. The only hit was a single that came with one out in the bottom of the 7th inning.

The Rams struck early with two runs in the top of the first inning. Jordan Derrah led off the game with a double before Trevor Delaite followed with a single. Courtney then knocked in the first run with an rbi single. The second run scored when Sam Huston reached on an error. Huston would later add a 2-run trile that help break the game open as part of a 3-run third inning by Bangor. Courtney, Delaite and Hunter Boyce each had 2 hits to help pace the Rams offense.

Bangor finishes the season with an 18-2 record while Windham goes to 11-10.
