Brandon ECFC Player of the Week

Husson Eagles quarterback Cory Brandon has been named Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) Offensive Player of the Week.

The (1-2) Eagles lost a non-conference heartbreaker to Western New England 31-28 Saturday afternoon. Brandon, a senior captain, finished the day 28-for-38, 258 yards and three TDs. He now has over 5,300 yards passing and 54 TDs in his four year career.

Ty Bassett was named ECFC Special Teams Player of the Week. The senior ran back a kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown. It was the second longest in program history. Bassett also caught five passes for 45 yards.

NOTE: The Eagles have a bye week before beginning ECFC play on September 29th vs SUNY-Maritime.
