Briggs Named Special Teams Player Of The Week

Thornton Academy alum Brandon Briggs was named the Colonial Athletic Association Special Teams Player of the Week for his work in a 23-6 victory versus William & Mary.

On the season Briggs is 7-8 in field goal attempts and has been with the team since 2016 when he joined the program as a walk-on player.  The junior has taken over the starting role after the first few games of the season and also has the team's kick-off duties.

Maine is hosting the Delaware Blue Hens in the next game on Saturday which will be played at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland, ME.
