Everyone admits the Senior League  District #3 Tournament feels a bit different this year. Instead of an automatic bid to be host team for the World Series, the district winner goes to New Jersey for the Eastern Regional Tourney.

The winner of that regional moves on to the Senior League World Series to be held in Easley, South Carolina for the first time.

After weekend play, Bronco-Hermon and Brewer are in the big winner's bracket game set of Wednesday night at Mansfield Stadium at 7:30pm. Bronco-Hermon beat Old Town 16-6 and Brewer defeated Holbrook 10-2 to advance on Sunday afternoon.

Old Town, Houlton, Lincoln and Holbrook will have to come out of the loser's bracket to win the district title.

NOTE: District #3 administrator Mike Brooker will discuss the changes in the Senior League baseball scene on the Monday 'Morning Pitch Show' on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket.
