Capturing Maine’s Basketball History [PHOTOS]
As the Maine Basketball Hall of Fame gets ready to welcome the Class of 2017, MBHOF volunteers worked this week to get the special concourse at Cross Insurance Center in Bangor filled with memorabilia that helps chronicle the history of basketball in Maine.
The MBHOF Concourse is open to the public year round at CIC. Through the various artifacts, kiosks and a special timeline, the story of basketball in the state is told.
18 basketball greats will enter the Maine Basketball Hall of Fame later this month. Among the inductees, the late Bunny Parady, Terry Spurling, Paul Cook, Wally Russell, Tom Maines, Kissy Walker and Gary Fifield.
The '17 MBHOF induction ceremonies are Sunday, August 20th.
