Struggles for the UMaine hockey team against New Hampshire continued Wednesday as the Wildcats pounded the Bears 7-0 in Manchester.

In four straight games against UNH the Bears took 3 losses and a tie which dropped their record to 4-11-4 on the season.

UNH wasted little time taking control of the game scoring 2 goals in the first 2:10 of the game on their way to a 3-0 lead after the first period. They added 3 more in the second period and capped the scoring with their 7th goal late in the third.

The Wildcats also had the most chances to score by outshooting the Bears 39-21. They also went 2-6 on the powerplay while Maine went 0-3.

Maine will take this first weekend of the new year off before hosting Colgate for a weekend series on January 8 and 9.
