The Hampden Broncos won the Saturday night battle of unbeatens with the Brewer Witches. A 55-46 win in front of 1,142 folks in a sold out gymnasium.

The win moves the Broncos into first place in Class A North with a 7-0 record. The Witches fall to 7-1.

Hampden came into the game with a rash of ankle injuries - NIck Gilpin, Brendan McIntyre and Jake Black all dealing with health issues. That meant someone off the bench would be needed and that's where Nick Chasse and John Wolfington came into the story. Chasse scored 18, Wolfington had 6.

For Brewer, Matt Pushard had a monster night - 25 points. But, no other Witch scored more than 6. Yet, Brewer kept the game close all night.
