A big late season Class B North baseball/softball day for the Brewer Witches and Hermon Hawks. The Witches wind up sweeping the games.

On the baseball diamond, Hermon's Keith Pomeroy blasted a home run as part of a three hit, three RBI day.

But the Witches came back on the Hawks. scoring twice in the 6th inning to grab the lead for good. Levi Williamson had three hits for Brewer. Kobe Rogerson had two hits and two RBI. Evan Andrews also drove in two runs.

Andrews pitched the first six innings to get the win. Rogerson pitched the 7th and got the save.

Brewer improves to 9-2. Hermon drops to 8-4.

On the softball field, the unbeaten Brewer Witches got behind 2-0 after one inning and outscored the Hawks 13-3 the rest of the way.

The top-ranked Witches are now 13-0 in Class B North. Hermon is 9-3.

NOTE: Class A Bangor baseball with a 5-2 win over Class B Old Town Monday afternoon. The Rams are 13-1 and the Coyotes are 7-6....Old Towns softball beat Bangor 7-1.
