Megan Peach of Dexter High School has won the McDonald’s High School Athlete of the Week with the majority of the total vote over Tia Tardy of MDI High School and Paul Casavant of Hampden Academy.

Peach helped the Tigers to two victories to close out the 2016-17 season as they head to the quarterfinals in Class C North.  Peach had 16 points against Bucksport last Monday in a three-point win, and then notched 32 points, 17 rebounds, and five blocks in a victory versus Stearns.  The loss was the first of the season for Stearns and Peach logged her 1,000th point in the game.  Dexter is 12-6 and finished in fifth place in the Class C North rankings and will be facing fourth ranked Madawaska in the next round of the playoffs.

Peach took home the vote with over 500 submissions this week.
