The University of Maine football team had eight players selected to All-Conference teams in the Colonial Athletic Association released on Tuesday afternoon.


Sterling Sheffield (LB) and Manny Patterson (CB) were selected as Second Team All_Conference members, while Isaiah Brooks (OL) and Kayon Whitaker (DL) were among those on the Third Team.

Kyle Lauletta of Richmond was given the CAA Offensive Player of the Year and Andrew Ankrah of James Madison was the Deffensive Player of the Year.

The Black Bears just wrapped up their season with a 20-19 loss to Stony Brook this past weekend and were 4-6 overall on the season.  Stony Brook, New Hampshire, Elon, and James Madison all made the NCAA Tournament out of the CAA conference this past year.
