In this last week of the regular season, the Bangor Rams and Hampden Broncos were in playoff mode at Red Barry Gym Tuesday night. Bangor wins the battle of top-ranked teams, 73-65.

Senior Matt Fleming had a monster game for the Rams, scoring 30 points and grabbing 15 rebounds and a handful of blocked shots.

But the Broncos answered with 24 points from Bryce Lausier and 20 from Kory Winch.

Hampden had a four point lead after one quarter and a one point lead at the half.

But Bangor outscored the Broncos 19-10 in the third to grab control of the game.

The Rams improve to 16-1 in Class AA North and will finish the regular season at Edward Little Thursday night.

Hampden is now 13-4 in Class A North and finish hosting Nokomis Thursday night.

The Cony Rams move ahead of the Broncos for first place after a win over Brunswick Tuesday night.

NOTE: On the schoolgirl side, Bangor beat Hampden 50-43. The Rams jump up to third place in Class AA North with the victory.
