Week two of the NFL preseason is here and several former University of Maine football players continue to fight for a spot on an opening day roster. On Thursday night a couple of those players squared off against each other as Matt Mulligan and the Buffalo Bills beat Kendall James and his Cleveland Browns 11-10. Mulligan did not have a pass thrown his way while James came up with one tackle.

Mike Devito continues to come back from a ruptured achilles tendon suffered last season with Kansas City. His Chiefs will be in action tonight against the defending NFC champion Seattle Seahawks tonight. Of all the former UMaine players in camp, Devito stands the best chance of making a roster.

Another former Bear that will be in action Saturday is wide receiver Damarr Aultman who is camp with the Miami Dolphins. Aultman led Maine with 498 receiving yards last season and is trying to earn a spot as the Dolphins 5th receiver or return specialist. His position coach is also a former UMaine BLack Bear as Phil McGeoghan who enters his 4th season as Miami's assistant wide receiver coach.
