Former UMaine goalie Scott Darling is a winner in his NHL debut with the Chicago Blackhawks. A 2-1 Sunday night victory over the Ottawa Senators.

Darling made 32 saves, 16 of them in the third period trying to preserve the one goal lead.

Darling has bounced around the minors after leaving UMaine in 2010. He had started 54 games in two seasons at Orono.

Chicago's starting goalie Cory Crawford is coming back from injury. The Blackhawks called up Darling from AHL Rockford earlier in the week and after being the backup to Antti Raanta for three games, he got his NHL chance.
