It’s time for you to help us decide again who should be the winner of this week’s McDonald’s High School Athlete of the Week.  We have our sixth vote of the winter sports season, and you can choose between four different athletes.

Bangor Basketball Matt Fleming

Junior Matt Fleming of the Bangor Rams had a huge night in a win versus Windham.  Fleming dropped 45 points in a contest that the Bangor side would win 66-64. With a victory in the lone game scheduled last week, the Rams also moved into second place in Class AA North.

Ashley Anderson of the MDI Indoor Track team set a New Balance Field House record in the 200 meter dash event this past weekend.  She posted a time of 26:22 in the event which marked the best run ever in the venue.  Anderson also won the 55 meter dash as well.

Taylor Schildroth continued to put up points for the George Stevens Academy Eagles as he had 29 points and 10 steals in a victory against Bucksport.  On the year Schildroth has helped the Eagles to a 10-1 record and the top spot in the Class C North ranks.

Ian McIntyre

Ian McIntyre of Hampden Academy has the Broncos at the top spot in the Class A North ranks.  The senior forward had 18 points and nine rebounds in a victory versus Brewer last week as the Broncos went 3-0 in the past seven days of game action.  Hampden currently sits with a 12-1 record.

The decision is up to you to choose who you think is the McDonald’s High School Athlete of the Week between these four great athletes from this past week!
