One low score after another keep coming in to the scorer's tent at the second round of the Greater Bangor Open Golf Tournament.

Vermont pro Alex Rainville, who just turned pro after finishing his college career (Johnson&Wales College, Florida) in May, carded a 7-under par 62 at Bangor Muni. He's got the lead heading into Saturday's final round. Rainville 9-under par (129) after two rounds.

Florida pro Michael Kartrude blistered Bangor Municipal Golf Course with a 6-under par 63  to grab a brief lead of the 52nd Greater Bangor Open Tournament. Kartrude fired three birdies on the front side and three birdies on the back side. He played par golf on the other 12 holes. His two-day score is 8-under par (130).

2016 GBO champ Jesse Larson, a Vermont pro, turned in a 6-under par 63 score late in the afternoon. His 7-under par 131 total puts him in third place.

Golfers are still on the course.
