What is it about the Providence College Friars? The UMaine Black Bears just can't seem to beat them. Last night, a 1-0 loss at Alfond Arena that means in the last 19 games vs the Friars the Bears are 0-18-1.

Maine's Jerremy Swayman stopped 29 shots. The only puck to get past him was a Bryan Lemos shot in the second period.

Friars senior goalie Hayden Hawkey stopped all 28 shots on him and became the Providence all-time leader in shutouts with 14.

The loss leaves Maine in 8th place, at 6-8-3 in Hockey East (10-14-3 overall).

Providence is in 4th place in HE at 9-6-2 and 16-8-5 overall.
