Hermon, Central Win Titles

Hermon, Central and Central Aroostook cheerleading squads claim North Region championships at the Cross Center in Bangor Saturday. The Bangor team was runner-up in Class A.

Class B: Hermon and five other teams advance to the state championships next month. Ellsworth, Old Town John Bapst, Presque Isle and Gardiner.

Class C: Central will be joined at the states along with Houlton, Bucksport, Mattanawcook Academy, Sumner and Orono.

Class A: Lewiston wins the regional with Bangor runnerup. Those teams will go to the states with Brewer, Oxford HIlls, Hampden and Mt. Blue.
