Hodgdon High Schools softball coach Sarah Williams finishes in third place in the national MVP Coach of the Year program and receives a $10,000 grant for her school in her name.

That is on top of the $5,000 grant she already received for making the top-15 coach list.

The MVP Coach national program is sponsored by U.S. Cellular.

Pincrest HS (North Carolina) football coach Chris Metzger was named the winner. He receives a $50,000 grant for his school.

Bowling Green HS (Missouri) track & field coach Matt Chance was runner-up and gets $20,000 for his school.

Hundreds of coaches from around the country were nominated. The selection process includes on-line voting and a special committee selects the three finalists.
