What are the chances former UMaine goalies Jimmy Howard and Ben Bishop would get injured in the same game? Well, it happened last night in Tampa Bay's 4-1 over the Detroit Red Wings.

Howard's injury happened in the second period when a bunch of Tampa Bay players plowed into the goal and end up on top of Howard. He has been placed on the seven-day injured reserve list and a leg or knee injury. The Red Wings are not talking about the injury.

Later in the game, Lightning goalie Ben Bishop had to leave the game after injuring his right leg making a kick save. He left the game, did not return and the team would not discuss the injury after the game.

In 22 games, Bishop has a 9-10 record with a 2.79 GAA and a .907 save %. He played for UMaine from 2005 to 2008.
