Howard, Pastrnak Earn All Star Spots

Boston Bruins standout David Pastrnak has earned his first NHL All Star team selection. Former UMaine, now Detroit goalie, Jimmy Howard, earns a third time appearance.

The two players are part of a 10 player list from the Atlantic Division that includes the names like Stamkos, Matthews, Eichel and Price.

Pastrnak leads the Bruins in scoring with 24 goals and 26 assists for 50 points. Now 22-years-old, Pastrnak was drafted as the #25 overall pick in 2014.

Jimmy Howard has been outstanding for the Red Wings.this season. A 10-9-5 record with a 2.72 GAA and ,920 save percentage.

The NHL All Star Game is January 26th in San Jose.
