Husson Wins, Gets NCAA D-III Playoff Spot

The Husson University Eagles are NCAA Division III playoff bound for a second straight year. Saturday's 63-0 whipping of Alfred State guarantees the Eagles ah ECFC conference automatic bid. They can wrap up the conference title with a win in next week's season finale.

John Smith rushed 15 times for 144 yards and three touchdowns as Husson racked up 28 points in the first quarter and another 28 points in the second quarter.

QB Corey Brandon was 10-for-14, 162 yards and two TDs.

The Husson defense held Alfred State (NY) to just 85 yards of offense.

The Eagles are now 6-0 in the ECFC and 8-1 overall.

NOTE: Husson finishes the regular season hosting Mount Ida next Saturday.
