Darby Allin Reaches The Top of Mount Everest
Mission accomplished for Darby Allin. Four weeks after beginning his ascent, the former AEW TNT Champion has reached the top of Mount Everest.
Summit Confirmation
Darby's climbing guide Ang Dorjee shared two updates from the expedition’s satellite tracker:
8:50 a.m. local time – “Top of the World! 8:50 a.m. local time summit. Good weather was in our favor, but many teams took advantage of the short window as well, which slowed our progress more than expected.”
12:20 p.m. local time – “After summitting, the team had a much faster descent. Arriving back into Camp 4 they will spend the afternoon refueling and sleeping after a mammoth night on the mountain. Tomorrow a descent to Camp 2 and then into Base Camp, and you'll get to hear the story from Darby himself.”
Record Kickflip and Now the Summit
Earlier in the climb, Allin broke the world record for the highest‑elevation kickflip at 20,958 feet. Today’s summit at 29,032 feet cements the trip as one of the most ambitious crossover feats by a professional wrestler.
What’s Next
The team will rest at Camp 4 before continuing down to Base Camp, where Allin is expected to share details about the climb.
Congratulations, Darby
From the wrestling ring to the literal roof of the world, Darby Allin continues to live out his motto of skating past limits. Safe descent, speedy recovery, and congratulations on reaching the top.
