Hailey Van Lith Joins the Connecticut Sun

The former Chicago Sky guard has found a new home in New England after being waived earlier this week.

One of the biggest and most recognizable stars in women’s sports will be taking the court in our region this upcoming season.

As announced by the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday, May 6th, the team has officially been awarded Hailey Van Lith on a waiver claim ahead of the 2026 WNBA season.

Per team policy, details surrounding the contract agreement were not made public.

The newest member of the Connecticut Sun also brings international experience, representing the United States at the 2024 Summer Olympics and winning a bronze medal as part of the USA Women’s 3x3 Basketball Team.

The Sun will open their 2026 WNBA regular season at home on May 10th against the Seattle Storm at Mohegan Sun Arena, where the franchise has called home since joining the WNBA in 2003.
