GSA Boys Shutout Houlton 6-0

The George Stevens Academy Boys Soccer Team traveled up to Houlton on Friday, September 1st, beating the Houlton Shiretowners 6-0 in the team's opening game of the 2023 season.

Fred Coit led the Eagles with 2 goals and 1 assist. Jack Carson  and Malcolm Page each had a goal and an assist. Reed Pambianco and Dominic Nelvells each had a goal for the Eagles.

Konnor Lynds had 32 saves on 38 shots for Houlton in goal!

GSA, 1-0 will host Bucksport on Tuesday, September 5th at 4 p.m.

Houlton, 0-1 will travel to Orono to play the Red Riots on Tuesday, September 5th at  4 p.m.

September 1-3 you can nominate someone for the Week 1 High School Athlete of the Week for performances August 28- September 2. We will then post the nominees on Tuesday, September 5th, and you'll be able to vote September 5th-7th. We will then announce the winner on Friday, September 8th. Nominees should be mailed to chris.popper@townsquaremedia.com with the student's name, school and why you think they should be Athlete of the Week.
