The 2024 NFL draft is now over, but the people of New Hampshire are still celebrating.

A University of New Hampshire Wildcat, Dylan Laube, was selected to play in the NFL ahead of the 2024-2025 season.

Laube stands at 5' 10" and weighs in at just about 210 pounds. Many compare him to Danny Woodhead. However, he is entering the NFL similar to Marshawn Lynch (one of the best running backs in today's NFL era).

When Lynch was drafted, he was 5' 11" and 215 pounds, nearly identical to Laube. So Laube is a compressed ball of muscle.

At UNH, Laube was one of five captains. He was #1 in the country in all-purpose yards with an average of 209.5 yards per game. He was #2 in the country in touchdowns and scoring. He was #3 in the country for kickoff returns, with an average of 31 yards per kickoff.

This Wildcat is ready for the NFL, and the NFL is ready for him.

In the sixth round of the 2024 NFL draft, Laube got the call from the Las Vegas Raiders.

The running back is not the first Wildcat to be drafted in the NFL, but he certainly is the first in quite some time.

The last UNH Wildcat player to be drafted in the NFL was back in 2013, when Jared Smith was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks.

Prior to that draft, there have only been four other Wildcats selected for the NFL in the past 30 years: 2007, 1999, 1996, and 1993.

A huge congrats to Dylan Laube and the University of New Hampshire. We wish Laube was repping the blue and red with the Patriots, but we'll all be secretly rooting for you with the Raiders.
