Lynx Win Second Straight State Title

The Mattanawcook Academy girls tennis teams finished off an undefeated season with a 5-0 shutout win over Carrabec to claim the Class C Team Tennis Championship.

For the Lynx that means back-to-back state titles.

Katey Libby, Emily Tolman and Sydney Jones all won their singles matches. Delany Kneeland / Emily Tilton and Sarah Hanington / Paige Briggs won their doubles matches.

Class C Boys: Waynflete defeated Orono 4-1 to win the state championship.

Class B Girls: Lincoln Academy defeated Erskine Academy 5-0 for the state title.

Class B Boys: Yarmouth vs Belfast

Class A Girls: Scarborough vs Lewiston

Class A Boys: Falmouth defeated Camden Hills 3-2.
