
Maine Men’s Basketball Falls to American 74-61
The Maine Men's Basketball Team's early-season struggles continued on Friday, November 28th, as the Black Bears fell to American University 74-61.
Maine trailed the entire game, and were down 39-28 at the end of the 1st Half.
The Black Bears had 3 players in double figures. TJ Biel led Maine with 15 points. Bashir N'Galang had 11 points and Keelan Steele had 10 points. Ace Flagg was Maine's top rebounder, finishing with 7 boards.
Maine shot well from the field, shooting 50 percent. They were 4-13 from beyond the 3-point arc, but just 15-29 from the free throw line.
Maine outrebounded American University 32-28. The Black Bears were forced into 18 turnovers, while the Eagles had just 8 turnovers in the game. American University scored 19 points off of Maine's turnovers.
American University was led by Kade Sebastian with 15 points.
The Eagles shot 45.3 percent from the field and were 10-26 from beyond the 3-point arc. They were 16-24 from the free throw line.
