The MDI Girl's Soccer Team traveled to Bangor to play the John Bapst Crusaders on Monday afternoon, September 15th, and the Trojans won 4-1, in a game played at the Dorothea Dix field.

With just 48 seconds gone in the first haf, Curless would score again, at the 39:12 mark to put MDI up 2-0.

John Bapst would come right back to halve the score, as Ellie Cheff scored past MDI's goaltender Keely McConomy at the 38:43 mark, and MDI was up 2-1.

Opal Curless was fouled in the box by the Bapst goaltender, resulting in the Crusader's goalie receiving a red card, and an automatic ejection from the game. Curless converted the PK, past the backup goalie, and the Trojans led 4-1 with 27:09 remaining.

With the victory, MDI improved to 2-1, and next plays at home against George Steven's Academy on Wednesday, September 17th at 6 PM. John Bapst falls to 2-2, and travels to Lincoln to play Mattanawcook Academy on Wednesday the 17th at 4 PM and plays host to Presque Isle on Saturday the 20th at 1 PM.
