The Mississippi State Bulldogs showed why they are a legit top-10 team nationally, beating up on the UMaine Black Bears 87-43.

The Bulldogs win the Tip-Off Tournament at the Cross Center, going 2-0. The Black Bears finish the tourney 1-1.

Mississippi State roared to a 15-0 lead in the first four minutes. After the Black Bears settled things down a bit, the Bulldogs made a 21-3 run to extend the lead to 23 by halftime.

Maine got outscored 41-20 in the second half.

Victoria Vivians scored 29 points for Mississippi State and was named tourney MVP.

Maine's Sigi Koizar and Laia Sole were all-tourney selections.

The Bears play Harvard in Boston on Tuesday night.
