Bangor area soccer kids are getting a chance to work with New England Revolution staff this week in a clinic partnership with the local River City Athletics soccer club.

Kevin Arboleda and Stephen Patino work for the Revs, the MLS team in Foxboro, Massachusetts. Both say they are very impressed with the skill level of Maine kids.

MJ Ball from River City Athletics says there are two age groups - 9 through 13 year olds and a high school age group. Some of the kids may get the chance to go the Revolution academy training session in Foxboro and attend a Revs game.

There's a lot of buzz around soccer because of the World Cup Tournament and even though the U.S. doesn't have a team in the field most of the kids have a favorite team like Brazil, Argentina or England.

Ball says you never know, a kid in this area could be just the right age when the World Cup Tourney comes to this country in 2026.

NOTE:  Hear more from MJ Ball, the Revs coaches and hear what team the kids are rooting for in the World Cup on Wednesday's 'Morning PItch Show' starting at 6am on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket.
